Our Morbark chippers range in capacity from 12 to 20 inch and are powered by diesel CAT or Cummins engines in 97 HP to 400 HP. Morbark chippers are strong – they chip strong, grind strong and work strong. Our Angry Ant 4 inch capacity chipper is a petrol powered chipper capable of handling brushy material, wood off-cuts and other vegetation material up to 100mm (4 inches). Can you put bamboo in a wood chipper?

Bamboo is much harder than wood and the blades of the wood chipper are not designed to handle its tough fibers. Its fibrous composition presents a greater risk for clogging in the machine’s blades which can cause serious damage to the equipment. To safely chip bamboo, we recommend using a manual saw or splitting tool.
